Keeping Families Close
38 weeks into her pregnancy, everything was normal for Beth and her husband, Ty. When she started having contractions, they drove to the hospital. An ultrasound discovered that their unborn son was scoring low on movement and an emergency ultrasound was performed and the doctors found a brain bleed in their newborn son, Mason.
"Everything was normal. And then it wasn't. You never know when you're going to need the Ronald McDonald House yourself." Beth Fritz

Beth and Mason were transported downtown and the whirlwind began. While the doctors stopped the brain bleed saving Mason's life, the family juggled taking care of their 2 year old daughter as well as commuting back and forth an hour each way.
The Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland became a lifesaver for their whole family including Beth's mom. "When you have the kind of support provided by RMH Cleveland, Mason is being helped indirectly. His parents were more comfortable and better rested staying at the House. They could be with Mason's sister as a family. All of this meant they could take better care of Mason." Becca Schumm, Beth's mom.
Your donation supporting the Ronald McDonald House of Cleveland allows you to continue to serve families while their child undergoes medical treatment, regardless of their ability to pay. Thank you in advance for your support of the RMH mission!
